Our approach reflects the ‘Blue Ocean Strategy’, as outlined in the book of the same name, by W. Chan Kim & Renée Mauborgne. Blue ocean strategy emphasises the differentiation of the business offering from the competition. The blue ocean concept informs the position of the firm – both in how it operates in the financial services space, and also the stocks Blue Ocean chooses to campaign. We look for unconventional ideas of value innovation and growth. We seek opportunities that others may have missed with conventional investment philosophy.
